Global Korea Scholarship(GKS) University R&D Track으로 박사과정 학생을 모집합니다. 등록금 전액과 경쟁력 있는 생활비(월 180만원+α)가 지원되며, 1년 한국어 연수가 포함됩니다.We are recruiting Ph.D. students through the GKS University R&D Track. Positions are fully funded with a tuition waiver, a competitive stipend (1.8M KRW/month + top-up), and one year of Korean language training.

  • Background in transportation, civil engineering, computer science, economics, mathematics, control, human factors, or related fields
  • English proficiency score and transcript
  • CV and a short description of research interests

›타 대학 학부생도 인턴 지원할 수 있나요?Can undergraduates from other universities apply for internships?

KAIST URP 프로그램은 KAIST 학부생 대상이지만, 타 대학 학생은 방문연구 형태로 문의해 주세요.The KAIST URP program is for KAIST undergraduates, but students from other universities are welcome to inquire about visiting research arrangements.

›몇 학년부터 지원할 수 있나요?From which year can I apply?

학년 제한은 없으며, 프로그래밍(Python 등) 경험이 있으면 좋습니다.There is no strict year requirement; programming experience (e.g., Python) is a plus.

›인턴 기간은 어떻게 되나요? 방학에만 하나요?How long do internships run? Summer/winter only?

보통 한 학기 또는 방학 단위로 운영하며, 기간은 협의 가능합니다.Internships typically run for a semester or a vacation period; duration is negotiable.

›급여나 학점 인정이 있나요?Is there a stipend or course credit?

›한국어를 못해도 연구할 수 있나요?Can I do research in English only?

네. 구성원의 상당수가 유학생이며 세미나와 연구 논의는 영어로 진행됩니다.Yes. Many of our members are international, and seminars and research discussions are held in English.

›지원 후 회신은 얼마나 걸리나요?How long until I hear back after applying?

보통 1–2주 내 회신합니다. 서류 검토 후 적합하면 면담 일정을 안내드립니다.We usually reply within 1–2 weeks; qualified applicants are invited to an interview.

›인턴 경험이 대학원 진학에 도움이 되나요?Does an internship help with graduate admission?

네. 실제로 인턴·학부연구생 출신이 석사·박사로 진학한 사례가 여럿 있으며, 연구 경험과 논문 실적은 지원 시 가장 확실한 장점이 됩니다.Yes. Several current graduate students started as interns or undergraduate researchers here, and research experience with publications is the strongest asset in an application.
