Strengthening KAIST’s Research and Educational Partnerships with Beijing Jiaotong University and Tsinghua University 🇰🇷🤝🇨🇳

Our faculty (HoD, Jang Kitae, Dongsuk Kum, Inhi Kim, CHANGJU LEE, Ph.D., and Heye Huang) visited Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU) and Tsinghua University on October 20–21, 2026, to explore opportunities for collaboration in transportation and future mobility.

🚄 Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU) | October 20

We received a warm welcome from BJTU, including its President, Prof. 刘攀 (Pan Liu). We are grateful for the generous hospitality and commitment to strengthening our partnership.

During our visit, we exchanged research perspectives, toured the Transportation Science Museum, and held productive discussions about the BJTU–KAIST–Railway Education Program.

Building on our existing relationship, we look forward to expanding our collaboration in high-speed rail research, education, and talent development.

🚘 Tsinghua University | October 20–21

We also visited Tsinghua University's School of Vehicle and Mobility and the State Key Laboratory of Intelligent Green Vehicle and Mobility.

Through laboratory tours, research seminars, and discussions, we explored opportunities to deepen collaboration in intelligent transportation systems, autonomous driving, and future mobility technologies.

We shared a strong commitment to becoming long-term research partners, pursuing high-impact collaborative research, and advancing mobility innovation together.

We thank the leadership, faculty members, researchers, and students at both universities for their warm hospitality and engaging discussions.

We look forward to turning these conversations into meaningful research collaborations, educational opportunities, and lasting international partnerships.
